I wasn't referring to black people. That was a long time ago in this discussion, in my view it migrated quite a while back into a generic discussion without reference to particular groups.

And there was nothing in the 60s that I saw where blacks were refused the right to buy food. To go into white owned restaurants, yes. Which was obviously bad enough. But it wasn't causing starvation. Stores were still selling food to blacks. White farmers were selling food to black groceries. Not the case at all that blacks were starving because everybody refused to sell them food.

And while blacks (and Catholics and Jews) were certainly denied the right to buy homes or rent apartments in certain areas, there were other (granted, less desirable) areas they were able to buy or rent in. Not acceptable. But not constituting murder, either.
