I can't believe they haven't spent a lot of cycles on the problem. All I can think of is that they don't know what the heck to do. Either that, or they allow close to zero budget for advertising so it's a moot point.

I think it's painfully obvious that AMD (Marketing) is completely bewildered and clueless.

Just look at the whole "Athlon 4" fiasco... What kind of marketing department doesn't have a processors name in place well before the launch? And what about the desktop version (of Palomino)? What the heck are they gonna call it?

I honestly don't think they know.

AMD needs to take a serious look at the people it has doing PR and marketing. The sooner, the better, IMHO.
