Also many elements of our economy remain intact. Housing starts are 2.5X what we had back in the dark days of 81-82 and consumer spending is brisk (some are recomending shorting this segment.) commodity prices and trending down to stable (oil & gas). Main problem is in corporate profit and capital investment area (for now that is. That said, one leg down could lead to another and another. Economy has its problems, but certianly not crippled. Should the latter occur (not sure it will), then look out below Mad2
