Dan3, It's probably futile as you say they're quite satisfied with their "56K" PCs. Even if it could be explained there's no doubt most people are buying at price points(low end) not Gigahurtz points.

I don't think either one is going to be done either.
It worries me not only for AMD but also for Intel. The marketing direction has to change for both companies soon.

I don't have the link but I read an article that PC sales won't really rebound until 2003. That's a lot of inventory to be sitting around.
