glenn, good point re: bargains. heck, bargains are a badge of honor for me. not cheap, but value. i paid a bundle for a center channel to match home theater speaker, but it was about the best one out there and 1/3 retail. NO WAY i'd pay more than i did.

however, the negative cycle is in place, imho. as folks lose jobs they spend a bit less. when they don't get a job soon, the spend a lot less. as they spend less, more folks get laid off. the spend a bit less until they don't find a quick job... etc...

the crunch is coming, just a matter of when and how big, imho. my hope is that it isn't a death grip.
