There are quite a few comentators who seem to have no real idea about when the bottom will be or how many unemployed there will be or how long it will take for the recovery to take effect. Yes, quite a few. All, in fact, as far as I can make out. It is, however, not too hard just to add up numbers which have already come out, some of which have broken unfortunate records. If there's somebody who does have a real idea of all those things you mention, he or she is going to be a pretty wealthy person, along with his or her followers or subscribers. I'm not sure what point you're making...optimism is good for its own sake? --QS
