20+ years of declining prices will lead to change attitude toward gold if the economy goes normal. Gold if lose its precious status will have a hard time to be priced above $100/oz. Recycling will increase. There will be no survivors from present miners, unless they change profile from mining to something else.

Ps: I'm not alone in my scenario regarding collapse of economy, but if we are wrong, gold mining industry cut its own throat.
