NW-- I have a boatload of funds. Loads of any kind are of no concern as they are considered a fee and are covered under the flat annual rate I pay. Several are doing well (considering the shitty mkts) this year------ as always a few suck! As the rates began to drop I bought a load of frbax around 37,,,recently it has retreated a little to 46.. when you think the semis are down try trading or holding slmcx but it is very volatile. State Street Aurora has always been good as is acstx (many Van Kampen funds) and quite a few American funds. Ruckeyser mentioned one of my favorite fund families recently (American Funds) saying they usually perform very well and are of good size. He said the reason they are relatively unknown is they are only available at a 5+% load and their mgrs do not need to go anywhere or be interviewed..
