If they're stealing AMDs sales then the Aug 26th price drop of P4 1.5GHz worked like a charm.<

Let's look at things logically. AMD has only about 22% of the market. P4 will not cannibalize Duron sales, so we have to limit the potential gain from AMD to Athlon. Athlon is less than half AMD's sales, which means 11% of the market. With Intel having 77% of the market already we have 7x193 for current revenues versus 8x130 for future revenues as our ratio. This means a drop from 1351 to 1040 units of revenue, even with Intel taking all of AMD's Athlon sales.
