You are right, I don't know the effects of such a limitation on the actual research, since I do not know much about the stem cell lines that are available, nor the quantities that may be cultured over time. I presume that that was one of the issues discussed by the president in the course of deliberation, and therefore that research, though perhaps somewhat hampered, will nevertheless move forward.......

That is "off topic." Scientists will forge ahead with stem cell research, just not with taxpayers money. They will find plenty in the private sector. Lot's of money to be made here. Are you pissed that tax payer money won't pay for ALL of the research?
