Frank, actually the buy/hold strategy works best with small investors, rather than institutional holders. Small investors get hit rather badly with commissions if they make a practice of active trading, making it more difficult to get a decent return on investment.

My clients typically have started investing with about $50,000 investible assets. During the past five years, at least 40 percent became millionaires, thanks to investments in stocks like QUALCOMM. One client was featured in an article that appeared last year in Money magazine. As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
