Generally, the reaction I've seen from the non-schizoid (leaves out CG) medical and research community is positive. That is they are glad federally funded research can proceed in a limited way but disappointed that it is limited to existing cell lines (about 60). of course, one of the unanswered questions is what will happen if private funding creates new cell lines.
