...the markets realize that our "president" isn't very presidential.

Yeah, right, he shouldn't be pushing his agenda, he should be chasing interns and pardoning party donors like our previous "leader". I have total confidence in him, consciously and subconsciously. Try to unplug yourself from the mainstream media for a few minutes and think independently.

He's already taken positive actions by reducing taxes... Time will tell if he can overcome the economic tar-pit the former "leader" left him with...

Andrew:

The reason our president is not very presidential is because he simply is an "accidental" president who jammed himself into the white house. Sort of like a little 6 year old girl wearing her mother's makeup and dress to look like a 25 year old sexy chic to get into some nigh club to have fun and dance! Anyway but that is besides the point :)

The old grumpy Nixon Republicans are in charge and this time you also have a bunch of suppressed ultra rights backing them. Nothing wrong with that, it is just that in this environment, if you have money (and I mean lots of it -- we are talking about $10 Billion+) and have the support of right wing religious guys, then you are respected, listened to, and if you are an innovator, or are thinking of having innovation and/or education, or are an intellectual... well tough! You are in a pretty bad shape! Innovation and creativity will be put on hold for the term of this accidental president.

High techs and the likes of LSI will simply be looked upon down. It will be the revange of the right wing nerds against Silicon Valley for the next 3 years and 4 months or so!

But this shall pass too. We just have to wait through it for another 3 years and almost 4 months!

Regards,

I think GW Bush has to take the responsibility for "talking down the economy" towards the end of last year. Dick Cheney joined the chorus, and guess what, we have a real recession now!

If things don't get better within a year, both the House and the Senate will go to the Democratic Party. Maybe once we get proper gridlock in DC again, things will start looking up.
