The bottom of that range was July 11, and not June 11th, if I'm not mistaken but your pt remains very valid.
I can't post charts but check the channel on it using the May high to the early Aug high as the top. Then the bottom starts at the mid May low and has two possible outcomes. The first goes through the mid June lows about 1200+ to the 7/11 low at 1168ish. This line gives a channel that is slightly gaining width compared to the top channel line. The second line could be drawn through the mid June daily close and not intraday low to the 7/11 close to the intraday low on the 7/24 or whatever it was. Both end up with enough touches to count as valid trend lines. Either way they come in at much lower levels 1150/1120 respectively. Finally, if you check the touches they occur when the stochastics turn up from oversold levels using a 21/7 %k-%d. That of course hasn't happened yet. <ng>
