That average has moved up due to the action in the stock in the last 3-6 months. MSFT stock is now WAY below its 200-day ema.

I've tried using several ma's to come up with support when I was strictly a position trader. I got that 51.06 from spreadsheet data. If you look at a 1 yr chart you will see support at that level, then look up the actual number on a spreadsheet. The traders I'm in contact with position, swing, and day trade, none or very few, of them use ma's. They glance at a chart and see support, make a round trip on a stock before I can even figure the 200 day ma. Since I'm not fast enough to be a pure day trader, and I don't wish to be bored to death by only position trading, swing trading is my forte. Frog
