That story reminds me of a radio interview I heard with David Mamet a few years back. He had a job writing letters to Penthouse for a while.

"I passed through one of those shows a little while ago.

The amazing thing is if there is intelligent life in the galaxy they will be watching the signals we are beaming at them from, "I Luv Lucy" to my all time favorite "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" right up the Condit melodrama.

A policy of non-intervention may quickly be changed for one of extermination.

Of course maybe early Bugs Bunny and Fawlty Towers will save us.
