Albert: The message should be independent of intel's marketing and very simple - having access to both intel and amd even most demanding user (kid with a game) chooses to use amd.

How about this for simple: (this was already suggested by someone else)

Don't show the GHz.

Show a GOps instead.

If you feel peak GOps is too "unfair", any suitable average can always be found. Ahh!, you say, but then the number becomes completely arbitrary and not indicative of any relative performance. Ahh!, I say, no f'n kidding; such is the case with any single number.

In any event, peak GOps is certainly a significantly better indicator of performance than operating frequency.

EDIT: An additional advantage is that it will be COMPLETE impossible to compare with Intel. The user (and seller!) will have no choice but to use benchmarks.
