Pardon me for butting in again....

I know exactly where that ELON Covered Call/Margin strategy SI post came from. It was posted and I assume it did happen. I was lurking on that thread at the time and I remember it well. Let's not bring it up anymore.

In my opinion, PAL mentioned it because he was so graciously trying to warn us of potential hazards if the CC writing was "abused". The man who recommended it was, in my opinion, an eternal optimist and a hardcore bull. It seemed to me he like highly leveraged strategies. Unfortunately the market had different ideas this past year or so. It would have been a good idea if the market went up. But I have great respect for that man, he is a great leader and had a great intuitive sense for the market....most of the time.

I for one am grateful to have learned from PAL and DAN and the mathematician this past week. With the strategies I have learned here I am optimistic that I can greatly increase my call/put writing income and still limit my risk..

PAL is right, we should all analyze and understand what we are preached. Just because its in a book, doesn't mean its right. (No disrespect intended)

If we chase PAL away from this thread, we will be doing all of us a great disservice. So everyone please cut it out.

Look at the great things Kobe and Shaq accomplished once they decided to work together.

Ok... I'm getting off my soap box now...

If you don't have a link to the post that you have referred to several times now, do you recall which thread it was on and about when the recommendation was made?

I don't know why that therad has disappeared. I do not want to divulge his name. Ask Frank. He definitely knows.
