Terry, but some great ideas came out of that war, such as burning up Washington, D.C. (start with the Fed, start with The Fed) and, of course, the huge military leapfrog of grabbing an alligator, filling his head with cannon balls, powdering his behind, and when they lit that powder off, the gator lost his mind during The Battle of New Orleans. Hey, Johnny Horton wouldn't lie to me. <g>

I have also always admired the way the British begged Tecumseh to support their defense of Canada, then, when Ol' Tippecanoe attacked, the Brits immediately ran away and left the brave Shawnees to be slaughtered by the Colonials. Sometimes the thin red line was downright anorexic.
