No indeed -- they have guns and mortars and bombs. Arafat has nine security services working for him, numbering 35,000 men, not counting the Tanzim, Islamic Jihad or Hamas.

In fact, there haven't been rock-throwing demonstration for some time, if you hadn't noticed. This "intifada" is a military operation.

Rocks is not all they got.

They are putting their lives in danger because they are attacking others (who in this case have superior firepower increaseing the risk). If their lives are worth so much to them then they shouldn't throw the rocks or fire rifles or perform suicide bombings.
