I remember Billy Crystal doing a routine about Grape Nuts that included a claim that if you don't wash your cereal bowl right away, the leftover Grape Nuts turn into barnacles.

Ammo may have visions of himself as the next Grape Nuts spokesman. I can't
imagine what else would motivate eating those little rabbit pellets.

Perhaps because they tast good and are good for you?

Tell him my trick. Instead of putting the milk in the bowl and letting them get soggy, I put the milk into a small pitcher (I use a gravy boat since that's what's handy in our house), put the sugar on the grape nuts in the bowl, and pour the milk into each spoonful as I eat them. It takes no longer since they take a while to chew so you can prepare the next spoon while you're eating the previous one.

If the pitcher drips, smear a small amount of butter on the lip. It will stop the drips.
