How is it Radical Redneck to condemn a subsidy? I also freely and quickly fight against the subsidy provided to our cotton farmers or your Northeastern dairy farmers. When people say the US can't compete, how often is it simply we can't compete against an immoral external subsidy? You liberals quickly decry the subsidies of the Japanese iron & auto when it costs US jobs that provide you with votes, but I'm far more even handed, against near any subsidy.

I think you have hit on something in regards to the US dollar perception counts. Canada i feel is moving more towards ties to the Euro.

Alex in prior note was discussing that he did not shop in the US my Brother also does not shop here now.

Where i originated from the Mayor of the city is openly gay. I'm am sure there were numerous eye brows that moved on that one, but the end result for the city has been increased prosperity.
The vote was political issue the issue was who would serve the city and this person won.

There are numerous changes occurring on the other side of the border and many of these changes are creating a better environment for the people.

This is basically hear say now on my part but from what I gather after gambling was legalized by the conservative party in the province, the province had a huge debt load. The conservatives were ousted the NDP was elected the salaries drawn from casino operations were vastly reduced. The funds from the casino's have allowed the province to be debt free. Tourist traffic has increased so the general economy has improved.

I look at this as an example of government that can create profit when it operates as affectively as private entity. The goal of this I hope will be where government starts to act as a profit generating enterprise for the people and there of reduce the taxation burden to the public.
