Do you really want to argue that perjury, obstruction of justice, misleading a federal court, submitting false affidavits and misuse of office which Clinton was guilty of are not impeachable offenses? I think that's unwise. Moreover, he was impeached, so they are impeachable offenses. But this is a political decision and offense and in the end the Senate found removal under these facts was not warranted.

No, Weinburger was under the cloud of a perjury charge, one that was bogus, in my opinion. In any case, I was not in favor of the Independent Council Act, but if it were wielded against Republicans, it is only fair that Democrats take their chances. Besides, I think that Clinton committed impeachable offenses, and a lot of other stuff that the MacDougals (and others) helped him cover up.......
