You could be correct on this assumption, it all depends on what kind of debt these fund manager take on. There are some nice yielding brady bonds, backed by the US government in some of those Asia countries.

Australia as I observed has a somewhat closed economic system. They could get along nicely if the rest of the world went up in smoke, as they can live nicely on what their country produces. They export mostly to Asia and for example Japan buys a fair amount of natural resources from them. Their increase in beef exports has been good for the economy because of obvious problems around the world. This country has a low probability of political problems as well as military problems. They just do not start fights with anyone.

The reason I have not bought into FCO is I don't want to bet on England at the moment, but I do won IAF.
