GST, >>I cannot for the life of me be optimistic about tech stocks

The problem with the NAZ vs HUI chart is we are looking at it today not a year or two or three ... from now. Tech as we know it, i.e. PC's, Cell Phones, etc are moving from growth industries to commodities and in my opinion most of them are 50% or more over priced and some of these high fliers will not be around in the future. In the future we will purchase these stocks just like we purchase GM, PD, etc. i.e. based on the economic part of the cycle we are entering.

I am looking for the bio technology to be the next growth industry, but this could be short lived if they do not bring new products to market that make a difference. Can you think of any other area of hope for large market gains?

Joan

GST,

BTW, the HUI chart does not show the dividend returns. The gold stocks I own send nice dividends. <g>
