Doug: I think we're in the last 3 months of the BEAR hug... We'll probably see unemployment climb to 4.8% to 5.0% in the next 3 months as the announced layoffs find their way into the reported statistics... The 7th rate cut by the FED will give hope for those looking for the economy to turn around, but until the telecommunications sector begins seeing improved order flow the markets will mark time... The telecom sector was the first to free fall over a year ago, they'll need to be one of the first sectors to show visibility at the end of this year or early next year... That would help the market move higher on a sustained basis... In Bear markets supports don't hold, and in Bull markets resistance breaks... Until we see supports holding and resistance breaking we'll have more of the same... Jim
