Way OT. Are you talking about that 24 hour mountainbike race in Canmore> Yep, I believe that's it. He just turned 30 this week and his folks think he's crazy. Apparently quite a few got hurt. You know though, as long as your're not hurtin' anybody.... a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. (of course that applies to the women folk too :o) *I was banned from racing my "converted" road-racer from mountain events here in Edmonton about 10 years ago because the dummies though I had an unfair advantage over mountainbikes, go figure.* My youngest sister (Daddy was super jock, almost made the NHL in the 6 team days, as a GOALIE) was banned from competing in the neighbourhood field day higher than her age group when she was 6. Seems the 10 year old boys complained LOL. She went to the 88 Winter Olympics so I guess they had a point :o) *BTW: At 38 yrs of age, I'm still agile, fast* You my friend are a spring chicken.....OH! to be in my 30's again !!!!! Well at 45 I hiked down half of COP (Calgary, well you know) with my 8 year old on my shoulders and my 2 year old in my arms.... not that I want to make a habit of it, but it's nice to know 'I am I,am superman and I can do anything ' ... for my kids. Frankly it was a slooooooow pace. For me it's really about the kids and being able to do 'stuff' competently with them (It's great for the ego also of course when the wife can still remember the young buck she married.......) regards Kastel PS: I still haven't detailed any of my vacation. I'll start with ... man we got a lot of cool fossils plus other neat things (neat to me anyhow).
