WS,

I'm waiting to see what trading looks like after Labor Day. The tape is very thin and Its hard for me to understand the impact of SS.

Re SI: the community has been destroyed by a minority (and a bear market). It isn't unique to this BBS. Lack of civility, mutual respect and bullying is all over the place. Folks using their keyboards like weapons of mass destruction.

Alan

Staying on topic, anyone notice the pickup in volatility with SuperSOES

Staying on topic, anyone notice the pickup in volatility with SuperSOES

This is something Chris and I were talking about a few days ago. At first when I was noticing it I thought that I was maybe hallucinating, with it having been over 100 degrees 13 days in a row and all, but he confirmed my suspicions. At anyrate, it seems to me that decimals did a great job reducing volatility, but SuperSOES seems to have brought it back. The only thing I can come up with is if a lot of people are keeping swiping a multitude of price levels, but I haven't watched T&S and Level2 close enough to see if that is the case.

Brandon

PS, anyone interested in going to California Adventure on Sunday?

SI is very quiet these days, that's for sure. I was a lurker back when SI got started in 1996 or so, and I'll tell you - it seemed about this active back then, when about 75% of the posting on some days revolved around one particular stock (now trading at less than 10% of its' then-highs).
