When the debate about raising the minimum wage in this country was going on, many argued the unemployment rate would rise as demand for labor decreased.... In fact, just the opposite happened as unemployment fell to new lows. Paying a living wage for a fair day's work or at least closer to it will not decrease the demand for labor as much as you currently believe. We still have to get over this one in our way of thinking, as old habits die hard. I do agree with you about firearms though, and the more guns we have in the hands of responsible law abiding adults, the lower crime rates will go.
