Re: first round of "price cuts" will just be the start.

This price war has been going on for a while now, and Intel lost over $10 Billion last year.

The rest of the industry is leaving Intel behind as every other major player adopts SOI.

A year ago Intel was sitting on a war chest of $20 Billion. After a year of the price war Intel has $10 Billion left and no near term prospects of keeping up with the industry's move to SOI. AMD has improved its financial position over the same period of conflict. A year from now Intel will be borrowing money to cover operating expenses.
