Misheldo, I just saw your question in your post
asking me what I like about ebay.

And you question shines a spotlight on an important
point in posting predictions or suggested trades and that is time frame.

In my trade suggestion I failed to state that I was talking about a 4 hour trade or less.

Often my strategy is to buy 100 to 1000 shares of a stock,
go in, get a quick point or more, and get out.

If I can make an extra hundred dollars for spending money before I leave for work in the morning I feel great.

But I'm glad you raised the issue. I'm in no way saying go long for long term on this stock, although I don't see the future for ebay as bleak as you do. (unless all of the Naz crashes)

Thanks for keeping me on my toes, and Monday AM will now be especially fun to watch.

Don't know about EBAY taking a 70% hit (stranger things have happened - in fact, they're not so strange), but it does look on the verge of a breakdown - after poorly formed cup-and-handle, weak breakout, now turned into a head-and-shoulders, bounced off the neckline Friday. If it breaks 60, there's a good chance of a bounce in and around 55-6, then a great chance for a visit to the middle low 40s. Planning on the low 20s or high 10s - Fall '98 prices - is pretty ambitiously bearish, IMO, even if the Nasdaq crashes to new lows for the year. The stock may be over-priced, but it's not a total fraud. If you're taking total market implosion to the bank, then I have to wonder - which bank?

Mish,
Kewl!!! Glad to see you over here....I've noticed from many of your posts which I enjoy reading that you are a absolute stockhouse of great trading ideas. Certainly, your input here should be a profitable and worthwhile addition for whoever will be reading this relatively new thread. What I like best about it is that GEM has been a mellow and laid-back host and allowing the board to grow and develop without putting a damp rag on any of the participants. I also believe we will all benefit from the stream of E-wave thoughts from Gem also.
Nice to have a good assembly of smart people looking at the market from different angles.
Allow me to to extend a hearty greeting and welcome in behalf of the motley crew assembled here. While some of us have felt out of place on some of the more restrictive, moderated threads we have participated on...this forum I think will be a fun and pleasant alternative to the threads we are accustomed to.
So far, not a single blow-up or hassle I have seen....Yessss!
Best to you my friend,
Eichler
