LPS5 obviously is perfectly capable of defending himself, but I would like to say that your appraisal of his postings is unnecessarily harsh. As he is a licensed professional, I find his defenses of the honor of the guild to be justifiable and well reasoned, even obligatory, whether I agree with them or not. I too see things on the screen every day that I think stink. My belief is that his postings of alternative interpretations of such events are meant to suggest that, even if our interpretations are correct, they should not paint the profession in general. Further, rather than complain about the more egregious examples of insider manipulation, I think it is better to ride on their coattails for a quick profit.

Duray,

How am I aiming to "take anyone's money"? Or "misdirect" anyone?

As I'd expected, the below quote - which I had the tremendous foresight to use pertaining to you recently - is vindicated, and reveals the evolution of your unique variety of logic behind the above assertions. As a case in point, recall that only a few weeks back you had, in the opening of a post to me, kissed my ass relentlessly (calling me "brilliant," "always willing to see the other sides of arguments," having "wonderful" debating characteristics, et al.), bereft of even the slightest suggestion of pride.

The quote is:

“The debunking of conspiracy theories is inherently a no-win business; the theorists dismiss all assertions to the contrary as part of the conspiracy itself.”

Col. Richard Weaver

So I guess I'm now part of your Rube Goldbergesque market theory now, eh? :)

But seriously, Duray. Through your completely misrepresentating post regarding my destruction of your moronic assertions a few weeks back...

...you've proven that you, in fact, are cowardly and duplicitous; but most importantly (and entirely predictably) that you have no knowledge whatsoever of the securities industry other than the self-manufactured delusions that you attempt to promote on the less-travelled threads of SI.

Instead of sending a PM asking me to apologize, or using quasi-religious fabrications to absolve yourself of any responsibility for your actions...start acting like a man.

Acting like an adult would be a start.

LP.

Raymond,

I am many things, but easily misdirected is not one of them :~)

If nothing else, my 'painting post' gave the forum at least the illusion of its former activity.

Clearly,LPS5 has considerable insight into the workings of trading desks. Having traded only retail , there may be some dynamics I am not aware of that explain some strange trading patterns.

That said, I watch some issues rather closely, the stuff most daytraders find too twitchy and thin to bother with. And when I see the same counterintuitive game being run over and over, I get suspicious.

Sometimes it's easier to pretend that nothing perverse is going on than to uncover the real deal. Simply put, there are many interests vying for the best fill at all times. I assume they will do anything they can get away with, to achieve that.

And none of this is limited to penny stocks, BB issues, Canadian Gold shares, or any other marginal market.

Of course, the whole thing may just be a paranoid delusion.
