Actually, they're most valuable before the police even talk to them. If you clam up and say nothing you're untouchable, unless they have smoking gun evidence. So I guess us unsophisticated people have learned something from these cases.

In Gotti's case they had him on tape, not much a lawyer can do about that.

James Baker's "Taxpayer Alliance" is now spending 25 million in stolen-gouged money to blanket California airwaves with misleading attack ads against Grey davis blaming him for the price spikes. This is the most cynical, dishonest and corruptive result of soft money which really damaged our system. 25 million is a tony of money for one state especially in a non-election year, but to Baker and Cronies it's worth it, they got away with 20 billion. Now they actually want us to vote their Republicans into office. Think again, cowboys. You robbed us blind now you will pay.
