The energy industry is going hog-wild at the troughs with Bush-Cheney in power. It's the most obvious abuse of power I've seen in my life-time by a particular sector, and it includes massive fraud, falsification of facts and data, manipulation of price and supply, exaggeration of need, scare tactics, minimization of collateral damage to environment, appointment of industry cronies to crucial regulatory posts, collusion, tit-for-tat soft money pay-offs, deliberate disinformation campaigns to cover-up their movements and blame others, an full-scale attack on all wilderness areas suspected of having energy reserves beneath them. In other words, what they always do but just much-much more aggressively, dishonestly and recklessly.
