I am a perpetual pessimist myself, but there is no denying the robustness of the small midcaps. My nightly scans pick up more stairsteppers than I have money to buy. Many in this group hold up ("consolidate") as the general market retraces and then take off again before the rally is evident. This is beginning to be a good market for swingtrading, at least in modest volume midcap NYSE's.
