Geez Richard, i did set out to get your goat a little but i didn't mean for you to splay its guts all over the street like this ... you're quite a religious personality, aren't you ... you search for something to believe in, pounce on the first shiney offer, and then believe it hard, real hard ... have you ever considered trying to split off part of your consciousness, set it off to the side, have it view your act as a part in a Monty Python skit? ... just a thought ... now don't get me wrong, belief is not an inherently evil thing ... in fact prominent in my local is a time-honoured sign worthy of note - 'Everybody needs something to believe in - i believe i'll have another beer.' It's just that you have to be careful as to what exactly you pick to believe in ... case in point - the other day you trip over some of this garbage propaganda out of this timber baron oligarchy, you seem to have chosen to swallow it whole while knowing dick all about the situation, then you proceed to take up space on the gold price thread [?] to badmouth my country, my province, and my industry .... WTF? See, this gangster protectionist stuff may be new to you, but it's not new to those of us who have been under threat of it for lo these twenty years or more ... it may sound good to you, with your penchant for avoiding the hard facts and relevant numbers of the sort that Bob J posts in re gold, but dig down a little with anything resembling an objective viewpoint and you'll find it's all a pile of crap, lots of distorted facts, twisted logic, apple-orange comparisons, etc ... basically a bunch of rich bully-boy landowners with their noses out of joint because we have made our industry efficient, and with enough money to pay Washington lobbyists to keep the threat going for a while ... we've won against them before and we'll win again, we just have to get through each wave of their harassment But this is all fine, i had planned to start a discussion on the threat anyway, and here it is ... so ya liked the pointy-hat thing, did ya, well good for you ... where i come from the cartoonists draw a pointy hat on the dunce kid sitting in the corner of the classroom, but if you wanna go race, that's fine, racing improves the breed they say ... as for thread seniority [like that matters, lol], i've posted on that thread for four years minimum, just don't much any more because of all the time wasted by this very sort of shallow fanaticism and off-topic absurdity from about three posters ... sigh ... ah well
