That was done to keep Jeb Bush from getting voted out next year. Most Floridians are against offshore drilling of any kind. Jeb faces a tight battle. If the Dems can produce a strong candidate he's toast. Everyone down there knows he helped fix things and kept the re-counts from happening. democracy was the victim. Not saying Gore would have won but the Bushes kept us from every knowing. I guess I'd help my brother and party too but there's going to be a payback time. Remember during the campaign Cheney came out and even promoted offshore drilling off the Floridian eastern coast. He was quickly told to shut up by his party handlers. He wants to drill off North Carolina too. And California. Everywhere. A miracle those guys got elected, a miracle for them that is but a nightmare now for the majority of the rest of us, 52% negative recent Bush poll as proof of that and 53% disapproving of the energy policies, numbers which will only grow as facts come out.
