dbf - Re: "Just read the Gateway insert in my Sunday paper. Of the 3 desktops and 3 notebooks listed, all were Intel-based. No mention of Droidian hardware."

Good.

Along the same lines, I just received a short catalog from IBM - their "Back To School" edition.

It features 8 ThinkPad Notebook computers - ALL INTEL based.

It also lists 10 NetVista Desktops - ALL Intel based.

AMD has ZERO products in the IBM catalog.

I guess IBM sells technology to AMD - but doesn't buy back the products from AMD !

Yep, Intel spends a ton of money on co-op advertising. One of the reasons both companies were just about at break-even when Intel ASPs were $150-$160 and AMD ASPs were around $75.
