I wonder how many people they have here. Another hit to SI Valley real estate? " For one, they have their antiquated sub-micron development center (SDC) - a FAB - here in the valley. In reality, AMD is "purchasing" their R & D from Motorola or IBM - at least for processors. So, shutting down their SDC would probably only impact flash memory - but AMD plans on converting their Fab 25 in Austin to flash - so it would make sense to move the development there as well. So - I'd say the AMD employees in Sunnyvale may be tossed over board pretty soon - after all - Sanders just pocketed a few hundred Million in Stock sales - before lowering the boom on the remaining AMD shareholders. I'd say it's a GOOD TIME for AMD to get OUT OF DODGE ! Paul
