The semis may have a couple of boom and bust cycles before many of the telecom equipment companies make new highs. Some never will. This seems a bit like IBM's long term struggle to make it back to a new high -- took a loooonnnggggg time as I recall -- something over a decade if memory serves.

This is not exactly what most folks thought the new economy was going to bring.
