Farming is the most distorted economic activity in this planet.

If I would be seating in a school and a teacher would use farming to teach me economics I would probably beat him up.

>>Fish are cheap. They get more expensive later on.<<

They get fished out, is what they get, then the whole ecosystem goes to whack. Garrett Hardin described it perfectly, the tragedy of the commons. People who use a commons either take the short term view and get what they can while they can, or else take a long term view that everyone takes a share but leaves some for the others. The long term view is nice but it only takes one person with the short term view to screw everyone, so better to screw the others first. The damn Japanese and Russians with their long-line ships the size of cities are the real bad guys, but it's international waters, what can you do?

But I am digressing, and need to get back to doing taxes. Almost done.
