something about the black fork ..

If the SPX were to break through the mid black tine then the next stop should be the lower one.

If we were to hit the lower black tine, then the existing red fork starting points would be invalid, as I use them.

The reason for this is that the resulting fork would also be a descending fork.

At that time I'd have to find totally new starting points for the new up trending fork.

Broke through the upper tine of that old black fork today.

I'd give it another day or two before I called it dead.
