Andrew, according to information coming out of the JMAR annual meeting last week, JMAR intends to sell a working X-ray lithography system next year for GaAs chips. That could price JMAR stock many times the current price, so an AMAT or other company in two years, may have to pay up for the stock. In addition JMAR is poised for the next recovery in chips through its chip division. Again another big potential profit center in 2002. Any company wanting to aquire JMAR should do so now while the entire sector is depressed. JMAR's precision equipment division is currently selling to Affymetrix and other biochip makers, this is a wildcard for 2002 as well.

X-ray lithography will be a reality in 2002 for GaAs chips. Silicon is another story. JMAR at the annual meeting indicated (according to notes posted) that they would hit 135 watts of power, which is enough for silicon XRL. Whether they have all the pieces of the puzzle is not known, but encouraging. But GaAs is a go!

JMAR will probably pair up with a large big boy in EUV (to exploit its technology breakthrough). That was also indicated at the meeting. Some thought this pairing could happen at any time.
