There are many controversies in genetics. There will always be people who think embryos are humans of some kind. One has to respect that view as unscientific as it is. But I warn you, be prepared for a lifetime of pain on this subject. Science will continue making advances and the genie will never be put back in the bottle. Also, there are many positives to the practices you abhore as well so a balanced view of that is righteous. Stem cell research really will save lives, maybe countless lives. I for one don't think religion ought to be dictating our laws, but then again that too is part of the American Spirit.

The cheek cell on my razor after I shaved this morning will divide in the right environment. It will create a whole new person in the right environment. Are you stupid enough to claim that every cell has to be maintained?
