The jury may still be out on Craig Barrett and his effectiveness as CEO, but what started this discussion and what I was addressing was the decision process for determining the viability of SOI. IMO Craig Barrett as CEO and technically knowledgeable has more credibility in determining the value, feasibility, and likely success of investing in the pursuit of soi than a committee type assessment at IBM, AMD, and MOT followed by executive decision and execution. The race may not always go to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that is the way you bet. Mary
