It's amusing to read my posts from less than 2 years ago and realize I've done almost a 180 on my views toward the neocons and paleocons. It's even more amusing that the neocon I used to take particular delight in bashing - Bill Kristol, is now one of my favorites. Sheesh! Obviously, I've changed a few of my perspectives, but I also think the paleocons have not acquitted themselves well in the post 9/11 debate. When Lew Rockwell starts posting Ted Rall articles, one suspects the paleos have gone soft in the head. At the same time the neocons have proved to be prescient. Their articles and position papers written prior to 9/11 seemed a little grandiose at the time, but I think theirs is the right prescription for these times.
