Ruff, why wouldn't they make a big deal out of this with an announcement. Are they trying to downplay it in deference to NOkia as a face saving measure? Do you know if any analysts has picked up on this? Thanks.

Has Nokia even announced a cdma2000 1x handset yet? Ruffian, I searched both the Q and NOK websites and there is not yet a Nokia announcement for a cdma2000 handset. I doubt there would be an announcement of a cdma2000 chipset order, if any, before a handset. The Nokia CDMA (cdmaOne) handsets I know about are: Single mode, single band Models 2170, 5170, and 5170i -- cdmaOne 1900 MHz Dual mode, single band Models 2180, 5180, 5180i -- cdmaOne 800 MHz/AMPS 800 MHz Dual mode, dual band Models 3285, 5185, 5185i -- cdmaOne 800 MHz/cdmaOne 1900 MHz/AMPS 800 MHz The 'i' suffix models are international models and support English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Hebrew.
