Congrats, Lindy.

Don't you mean that you covered the CC's that you SOLD Aug 2nd?

And don't you also mean "The calls I covered dropped at least 50% since I SOLD them?"

Just checking to be sure. I know you know but you SELL a covered call and BUY back what you SOLD.

Again, congrats.

Hope I haven't misled you about QCOM. I still think that it will close at 65 or below on Friday. Thus I am still short the 65 calls.

>>I will sell again when we get an upturn. <<

You ol' market timer, you. <g>

Nice move on closing your open positions. Nice to have winners your first time out.

Ken - NTAP has max pain at 12.5. Even though it is slipping I wouldn't expect to see it go to 10. I am short the 12.5's on my buy/write and wondering if they will get called or not. I don't care, since it was just a buy/write and if not called will write again. Also watching my QCOM Aug 70's since as I think the stock will drift upward this week.

William

LindyBill,

Schwab's new , free, fancy-pants NASDAQ Level II software for active traders last night.

You must call your Schwab representative to have the StreetSmart Pro service activated. You probably should do that before you download and install the program.

>> I just covered all of my CC's...

No, you just uncovered your stock by closing your covered calls. Using the correct lingo is just as important here as it is on the g&k thread. Otherwise, you'll sound like a dummy, which means you'll resemble the rest of us <lol>.

>> The calls I covered had dropped at least 50% since I bought them...

Ah, now I understand why you're so excited. That's terrific, Bill. I told you this was easy money <gg>.
