I thought this mornings economic numbers might move the market but it didn't. I don't think Greenspan action will have much of an affect, either.

With many TA signals portending to a rally it will be interesting to see if we get one out of the blue. (without a catalyst)

I've always considered August a lazy do nothing month for the market and why I thought we would basically go sideways this month.

However, there is also no arguing with the data in Eichler's charts. It sure looks like the market wants to rally.

So I think any bit of good news could launch a short term rally.

But I have no idea either what good news could be on the horizon.

And I will concede that a spike based on good news will surely drift back to earth.

When the good news comes I'm sure many people will point to the indicators already predicting a rally and say it wasn't the news at all. That's why for educational reasons only I would like to see if this market rallies on no news at all.

It would strengthen my already strong belief in TA.

I'm only trying to learn.

Since the establishment of this board I better understand and respect TA twice as much as I once did.

Maybe it's the people dispensing the TA.
