Manchester has always gotten mixed reviews. Being selected to write "Death of a President" made him a target for his fellow historians.

The "New Yorker" is running an excerpt from the new Caro book in its current issue. The excerpt deals with the Humphrey-Johnson relationship and is excellent. The new bio will be out in April. Enjoy.
